What makes us different
We used to be assessors. Our primary edge over other consultancy firms derives from the fact that FTA’s partners worked for a considerable number of years within international organizations (IMF, MONEYVAL) that form part of the FATF Global Network, and conducted numerous evaluations against the FATF Standards. We not only have an in-depth knowledge of the FATF Standards and the evaluation process but are also very familiar with the decision-making process of the FATF community, as a result of having actively and directly participated for many years in the discussion and adoption of mutual evaluation reports and other policy issues in the context of FATF and MONEYVAL Plenaries. We are, therefore, exceptionally well-placed to train and advise countries hands-on from a strategic perspective and have successfully guided many countries around the world through their evaluation process.
